Bird Photography St. Augustine Alligator Farm
Well the “World Famous” Alligator Farm in St. Augustine has never disappointed for bird photography and 2011 is shaping up to be a banner year. I’ve been photographing at the rookery for about 10 years now and it really is special and there is no place quite like it. Even though the birds are wild and not confined they nest right along the boardwalk and you can see egrets and herons on their nest about a yard away as in wide angle lens close! Read more

I’m not really sure where this collective noun came from, but at least they have one for me to play with. These birds are quite shocking in their appearance and even more so this time of the year when they are proudly displaying their brilliant breeding plumage. Read more
